The Argentine football team was greeted by thousands of happy fans along the streets of Buenos Aires to celebrate the WC champions.
People waited all Tuesday night to try and catch a glimpse of the football team that won one of those biggest World Cup final round.
The team, led by captain Lionel Messi, got off the plane with coach Lionel Scaloni around 3 a.m. in Ezeiza, just outside Argentina’s capital, to rock band La Mosca singing “Thank you, masters” for a day of celebration.
Argentina defeated France Sunday, when he won the country’s first WC championship since 1986 and the country’s third overall. The team came heartbreakingly close to victory in the World Cup final in 2014.
