Trump announces plan to build ‘impenetrable dome’ to protect US from nuclear threats

Former President Donald Trump recently announced that he would build an “impenetrable dome” over the United States if re-elected – to “protect our people” from the alleged threat of nuclear attack and World War 3.

“World War III would be a disaster unlike any other,” he said in the video posted on his Truth Social platform on Friday. “This would do World War One and World War II like very small matches. The best way to ensure that such a conflict never happens is to be prepared with unmatched technology and unmatched strength.”

“When I’m commander in chief … I want to work with Congress and our great military leaders — not the ones you see on TV, I don’t consider them leaders,” he continued. We will work with them to build an advanced, next-generation missile defense shield.”

Trump then claimed that “the world has become much more dangerous” under the president Joe Biden and that any discussion of the “mortal threat” of nuclear war, as an alleged result of the ongoing one Russia-Ukraine conflictis put forward by the current administration.

“The word ‘nuclear’ is mentioned all the time,” Trump said. “This is a word you must not use. It was never used during Trump’s administrationbut now other countries use that word against us because they do not respect our leadership.”

Trump added that nuclear and hypersonic missiles could “wipe out entire cities and even countries” should Russian Chairman Vladimir Putin choose to intensify aggression against Ukraine and its NATO allies – and that of building a iron dome-like system is now important.

“America must have an impenetrable dome to protect our people,” he said. “We worked with Israel to develop that dome…We have technology that is second to none, but our previous leaders have not really wanted to use it…We must now go that further step.”

After praising his efforts to “completely” rebuild the US military, the twice-impeached former president – whose campaign promises to fortify the US-Mexico border was an expensive failure – said the space force would have an “important role to play.”

“Just as I rebuilt our military, especially our nuclear capabilities, I will build the shield to defend America against missile attack,” Trump said before adding. “We want a peace through strength.”

Former Russian President Dmitry Medvedevdeputy chairman of Putin’s Security Council, recently wrote on Telegram that “the defeat of a nuclear power in a conventional war could trigger a nuclear war.” according to Reuters. Putin himself repeated that notion in December.

“As for the idea that Russia would not use such weapons first under any circumstances, it means that we would also not be able to be the second to use them – because the possibility of doing so in the event of an attack on our territory would be very limited,” Putin said. according to CNN.

The US is nevertheless committed to supporting Ukraine in the conflict — which is approaching its one-year mark.

“Putin has no intention – no intention of stopping this cruel war,” Biden said in December. “And the United States is committed to ensuring that the brave Ukrainian people can continue — continue to defend their country against Russian aggression for as long as it takes.”
