Stone seems to channel his rich talents into sprawling abstract acrylic paintings that use a wide range of colors.

And Sharon is hardly alone when it comes to being a celebrity turned painter.

She joins an illustrious club that includes President George W. Bush— who loves to paint portraits of world leaders – and Jim Carrey, who often uses art to colorfully express his political views.

The Oscar-nominated actress has made a habit of sharing her journey as an artist on social media in recent years, and has even opened up about her craft, revealing that she sometimes paint with makeup brushes.

Hollywood grande dame’s art studio is inside the heart of her sprawling Beverly Hills compoundwhere she lives with her close-knit family.

Stone has raised three adopted sons – Roan, 22, Laird, 17 and Quinn, 16.

However, DailyMail.com revealed earlier this month that Sharon has welcomed a fourth member into her family, taking in a friend of her eldest son Roan following the tragic passing of the young man’s father.

“This happened about a year ago and she’s kept it pretty quiet,” said an insider. “The boy is inseparable from his son Roan and they all live together as a family now, in her big place.”

“It’s a really great thing to do and it says everything about her,” the source continued. ‘She had quite a difficult childhood and she wanted to create a family – the way she wanted a family to be.’
